Tina Graves
Registered Dental Assistant
I am an L.D. Bell graduate and have 14 years experience in the dental field. My job here is to assist our dentists with all dental procedures and keep good communication with patients about their care. I interact with my patients by getting to know something about them so they feel more comfortable and letting them know that I truly care. My favorite part of my job is having my patients leave the office with a great smile on their face. I would like your family to join our family of excellent dentistry.
I am a married mother of two beautiful teenage boys. I spend much of my free time working in the yard, spending time with family, and watching movies and sports.
Kim Fitch
Registered Dental Assistant
I graduated from John Jay High School in San Antonio Texas and went on to ATI Career College where I studied to become a dental assistant. In addition to assisting our doctors, I also manage the ordering of supplies, back up front desk when needed, oversee the maintenance of the dental equipment, and maintain vendor relationships in order to support the overall functionality of the practice. I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to help people and make their day a lot better. We here at Payne & Boatner love our patients and appreciate and respect each and every one of you. We hope that our personalities and work ethic keep you here as a part of our dental family as we continue to grow.
God has blessed me with two beautiful children named Jazmyne and Khalid who I adore. We also have a cat named Rufus T. Bone Jones Coupdeville Fitch who brings a lot of laughter into our lives. My family is everything to me and I am thankful to God for allowing us to walk with him on this journey through life.

Dental Assistant
I have had the honor of being part of this office as a dental assistant for over 15 years. In all honesty, Drs. Payne and Boatner and the staff are more like a family to me. I say this because there is plenty of love, trust and honesty instilled in this office, which has made the long journey a sweet one. It is easy to do such a task with two very professional and ethically driven doctors. What makes me love this job is seeing the satisfaction and peace of mind from our patients that often visit us.
When I am not working I spend my time with my lovely family. I have been married over 26 years now and we have two children, Erika and Jonathan, and I am also the grandmother of a beautiful little girl named Alani. All my time and energy is put into making wonderful memories with her. The little time I do have is spent working on my garden.
Kimberly Strobel
Treatment Coordinator
My responsibilities include checking patients in, establishing new patients, scheduling treatment and hygiene appointments, presenting plans and insurance coverage, and processing payments. I really enjoy working with our doctors. They love what they do, are down to earth, and each of them has such a great sense of humor. Our staff is like a family. We genuinely care about each other and our patients. We strive for our patients to have the best experience in our office from start to finish.
During my time off, I love everything to do with my sons, photography, travel, music, dance, and the Dallas Cowboys! I also have a BBA in Finance and I am a native Texan.
Debbie Zwit
Front Office Staff/Insurance Coordinator
My duties include verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, presenting treatment plans and filing claims. I had been a patient of Drs. Payne and Boatner for over nine years before working for them. I always felt welcome by the staff and trusted the doctors with my family’s dental needs. It is exciting to work for doctors I know firsthand are professional and friendly. I can confidently tell patients they will get the best of dental care at our office. Every day I learn something new. I enjoy getting to know our patients and providing them with information to make informative decisions on their treatment.
I am originally from Chicago and moved to Texas in 1997. My husband and I have two daughters and in my free time I enjoy going to the gym, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Christa Betz
Dental Finance and Administration
I enjoy being able to put my financial knowledge to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Not only do I enjoy the dental industry from a behind-the-scenes aspect, but I have found learning about the procedures and treatment options to be equally fascinating. Now in my fourth year at Payne & Boatner, DDS, I am constantly researching topics that relate to the dental economic and insurance industry. I understand how anxious a trip to the dentist can be because of my own personal fears. I never hesitate to share my story with other patients who exhibit the same apprehension when they visit the office, and that simple connection helps to ease their own worries.
I graduated from Keller High School and earned my Bachelor of Business Administration degree with Cum Laude honors from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. When away from my team at the office, I am corralling my own team at home: my three daughters, Chatham, JJ, and Jaxen. My husband, Jay, and I, enjoy watching our girls play competitive soccer, and we even take the field ourselves with friends on a weekly basis.
Karen Thompson
Registered Dental Assistant
My job consists of making sure our hygienists’ days run smoothly so that our patients can have a wonderful experience while having their teeth cleaned. Working here is very rewarding, especially when I get to know our patients on a personal level. I want our patients to feel as comfortable as possible and feel like a part of our dental family. I could not have possibly asked for better doctors to work with on a daily basis. They truly care about our patients’ well-being but are also silly with great senses of humor. Even though this is a busy dental office we all get along extremely well. The bond that we all have together makes every working day a memorable experience.
I was born in Granbury but grew up in Hurst. I am a single parent of two handsome boys: Jarrett who is 22 years old and Derek who is 19 years old. I am extremely proud of my boys’ accomplishments and goals that they have set out to achieve.
Bethany Soucy
Registered Dental Hygienist
I interact with my patients on a one-on-one basis as I deliver general cleanings, periodontal assessments, and give oral hygiene instruction. I try to make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair as I know that coming to the dentist is not everyone’s favorite thing in the world. I also give them information that will help them improve their overall home care needs. Hopefully, I can answer any questions they might have for me. I love having a person come back for their next checkup and see improvements in their mouth. Knowing I played a small role in this improvement is very satisfying.
Most of my free time is spent with my family, but I also enjoy gardening, scrap-booking, making jewelry, photography, drawing, dancing, and skating.
Barbara Pinero
Registered Dental Hygienist
I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics but decided to follow my childhood passion for dentistry and obtained a dental hygiene degree. I have been part of this wonderful team since 2007. I love helping apprehensive patients feel at ease and am all about building trusting and enduring relationships with my patients.
I was born in Cuba and traveled to Spain at the age of 12. Three years later, I moved to the United States. I have been happily married to my husband, Erasmo, for the last 20 years. I spend my spare time with family and friends. Among my many interests in life are fashion, window treatment designing, keeping up with the dental field, economics, and politics. I also like running, reading, and traveling the world.
Karol Smith
Registered Dental Hygienist/Practice Manager
I began working with Dr. Payne in 1989 when I graduated from dental hygiene school. Along with taking care of my patients and their smiles, I am also the practice manager of the office which includes all aspects of management in a business. I pride myself providing very individualized care for each patient so they become confident in the comfort we provide. They know we have their best interest in mind. Over the years, many of my patients have truly become my friends and I can’t wait to catch up on their lives when they come in for an appointment.
I have been married to my very best friend and most wonderful husband since 1994. We were both born and raised in Tyler, TX but as transplants to Keller we can not imagine living anywhere else. Outside the office I enjoy photography and gardening roses and orchids.
